I have lived in Gaston County all my life and am proud to call it HOME! My husband and I graduated from Belmont Abbey College and we moved our family to Belmont in 2000. Our children attended and graduated from the local school system. I have seen our local towns flourish and am involved in the community and in church. Jenny is a Yankee by birth and a Southerner by choice. She left New York to attend Belmont Abbey College. She, and her Hoosier husband Michael – also a Belmont Abbey alum, has called Belmont home for over 30 years.
Jenny spent many years working for Bank of America and its predecessor banks, first in a customer service call center and later in corporate affairs working in public relations. She left the bank to focus on being a full-time mom/referee, to her three sons. While chaperoning field trips, serving as a class mom, organizing after-school clubs and transporting kids to a multitude of activities, Jenny served the Belmont community on a variety of boards of advisors. She was the inaugural Chairperson of the City of Belmont’s Parks & Recreation Department Citizen Advisory Board, served on the Parent Advisory Board for the First Presbyterian Weekday School and the South Point United Methodist Church Day School, a PTO board member for Belmont Central Elementary and a Den Leader for Pack 56 Tiger and Webelos Cub Scouts. She was a board member for the Pinebrook Swim Club, on the Queen of Apostles Community Building Committee and helps with the Booster Club at the Highland School of Technology in Gastonia. She is also the loud cowbell ringing fan at her sons various sporting events.
